Vapi Agent cutting users off while thinking

Several of my users are complaining about the Vapi Agent cutting them off several times and didn't really give much time to think about an answer. this isn't realistic. Also, people pause when talking, especially when giving long answers- is it possible to analyze the answer and look for tell-tale signs of the answer being complete vs. just timing the silence and moving on? perhaps a "are you finished?" or "is that all?" to make sure the user has completed their answer?

@Suri I'm sorry to hear that some users are experiencing interruptions. Vapi's model is designed to minimize such occurrences by analyzing both the audio and text to determine when a user has finished speaking. However, it sounds like there may be room for improvement. To address your concerns, yes, Vapi can analyze the conversation for cues that indicate whether a user has completed their response or is simply pausing. The system looks for verbal cues, changes in tone, and natural speech patterns to make this determination. If the system is still cutting off users prematurely, we can certainly look into adjusting the sensitivity of the model or implementing a feature that prompts the user with questions like "Are you finished?" or "Is there anything else you'd like to add?" to ensure clarity. Would you like me to report this feedback to our development team for further investigation and potential enhancements to the system?
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

@Vapi yes sure but what should i do in the meantime?
v
@Suri In the meantime, there are a few steps you can take to help mitigate the issue: 1. Adjust the Silence Detection Settings: If possible, you can tweak the silence detection threshold in Vapi to allow for longer pauses before the agent considers the user to have finished speaking. 2. User Education: Inform your users that they can take their time when responding and that the system may require a clear verbal cue to understand that they have finished their response. 3. Feedback Loop: Encourage users to provide feedback on their experience. This can help identify specific scenarios where the agent may not be performing optimally. 4. Custom Prompts: If your application allows it, you could implement custom prompts that ask users for confirmation before moving on, such as "Is there anything else you'd like to add?" or "Can I assist you with anything else?" Would you like me to proceed with reporting this issue to our development team, and do you need assistance with adjusting any settings or implementing custom prompts in the meantime?

@Vapi yes

@Suri Great, I will report the feedback to our development team for review and potential improvements to the system. In the meantime, if you need assistance with adjusting the silence detection settings or implementing custom prompts, please let me know the specifics, and I'll be happy to guide you through the process. If there's anything else you need help with, feel free to ask. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we're here to ensure that Vapi works smoothly for you and your users.

Hey! @Suri To help track down this issue, could you share: - The call ID - When exactly this happened (the timestamp) - What response you expected to get - What response you actually got instead This would really help me figure out what went wrong!
