I have created and SIP number on Vapi but whenever I call it form linphone it's not connecting. Can you please help me with it?
v
@donnydjaco12 Of course, I'd be happy to help you with your SIP number issue on VAPI. Let's go through a few troubleshooting steps to ensure everything is set up correctly: 1. **Check SIP URI**: Ensure that the SIP URI associated with your VAPI number is correctly formatted and matches the one you are dialing from Linphone. 2. **Network Configuration**: Verify that your network allows SIP traffic and that any necessary ports are open. SIP typically uses UDP port 5060. 3. **Firewall Settings**: If you have a firewall, make sure it's configured to allow traffic for the SIP protocol. 4. **SIP Origination Configuration**: Confirm that the
sipUri
attribute within the
forwardingPhoneNumbers
array is correctly specified for your destination SIP address. 5. **Registration Status**: Check if your SIP number on VAPI is registered and active. 6. **Linphone Configuration**: Ensure that Linphone is configured with the correct credentials and settings to connect to the VAPI SIP service. 7. **Call Logs**: Review the call logs on VAPI to see if there are any error messages or indications of what might be going wrong. If you've checked all these and the issue persists, please provide any error messages or additional details you're seeing, and I'll assist you further. If you're unsure about how to check any of these settings, please let me know, and I can guide you through the process.
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

@User Can you help to debug this?
s
@donnydjaco12 Please refer to the following guides that demonstrate how to establish a connection with your SIP provider. **Note**: While these guides use Twilio as an example, the process remains consistent across other telephony providers. https://vapi.notion.site/SIP-104008c8393f80feaeb7de8ca19565ed
@donnydjaco12 if your already following this guide, could you share the PCAP file so I could take a look?
d
Will I have to ask my telephony for the Pcap file?
Or can I get it from linphone somehow?
s
@donnydjaco12 you have to ask your telephony for the PCAP file.
