I'm experiencing an issue where, in a squad with two assistants (each mutually used as a destination by the other), transfers only work in one direction. When the second assistant tries to transfer the call back to the first, the tool call appears in the call logs but NOT in the messages. During the call, the bot simply remains silent. Hey Dante, I don't speak spanish can you provide me some time duration in your recording and let me know when exactly the transfer should have happened? Also, I noticed that you are using claude model. Did you got the chance to test it out with gpt-4o? It is pretty good in-terms of tool calling.

Not at my desk rn but there’s a transfer in the second or third turn, and then by the end of the call, when the bot stays silent, it’s because it’s trying to transfer the call back, I can see it in the logs, but I don’t see it in the messages. I have used 4o but unfortunately it’s terrible for my use case. I don’t have issues with Claude in general tho, it’s only this very specific case the one that fails

claude isn't as good as gpt-4o in terms of tool calling and my guess is that due to high prompt size it is hallicunating not transfering the call properly. What's your exact usecase

Actually the first assistant with the larger prompt is performing the transfer just fine, the smaller one is the one that fails. Im using both because the prompt was getting big and the new assistant is specialized in a specific process that the user can initiate. What’s weird to me is that i can see the tool call in your logs. Are you able to see what’s going on there? Maybe if it’s a format error or smth I can try to prompt an improvement. We’ve tried using 4o and it’s very bad in the calls, Claude has been wonderful for us for months, it’s just this one weird thing. I believe these transfers were working just fine a few days ago, out of nowhere it started to fail
