Information transfer from VAPI to API

02/18/2025, 4:29 PMI have an assistant who gets the date of birth of the caller and pass it to API in MM-DD-YYYY format.
Sometimes when the user says "September 20 first 19 71." or "May 20 third 19 70.", VAPI is transferring DOB as "09-20-1971", "05-20-1970", etc.

02/18/2025, 8:02 PMalso review the transcription to see if it says the correct date in the transcription but passes the wrong date. if so then review your tool description for the specific value like bookdate to make sure its well formed.
