Hello VAPI Support Team, I hope you are doing well. I am encountering an issue while trying to configure the SIP server's address "sip.vapi.ai;transport=udp" as the origination SIP URI for my Plivo Inbound Trunk setup. When I attempt to create a UID, the system displays the error message: "This URI already exists." To the best of my knowledge, I haven't created any UID previously, and I am unable to locate an option to access the UID if it was automatically generated during onboarding. Plivo has informed me that the URI "sip.vapi.ai;transport=udp" is already associated with another customer and cannot be reused due to their restrictions. As a result, I am required to create a new/custom SIP server address to proceed with the setup. Could you please provide guidance on how to create or obtain a new SIP URI that complies with Plivo's requirements? Any assistance or clarification you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We are facing the same issue while configuring Vapi with Plivo. This same thing also happens when we try Retell with Plivo too. Unfortunately, Plivo refuses to acknowledge that it's their problem and had asked me to contact Retell team similar to the email above, Is there any workaround Vapi offers since you support Plivo "officially" in your docs.

Hey Sameer, you can follow the below process for setting up the SIP ranking with Pilvo. Refer to the following guides that demonstrate how to establish a connection with your SIP provider. Note: While these guides use Twilio as an example, the process remains consistent across other telephony providers.

According to that document it creates a URI which is of format "sip:username@sip.vapi.ai" But Plivo does not accept @ and "sip" in this field

As you mentioned I alredy tried to contact Plivio's team but they are saying please reach out to vapi's team I also tried - username@sip.vapi.ai;transport=udp(obviously change username= my bot's), its not working either

Hey, this is a routing issue where IP addresses are involved, so it limits the unique identity for this sip users. We are working on this with the Pilvo team.
