Hi there! 👋 I'd be happy to help you connect your UAE number to Vapi. I don't have information about specific people who have done this before, but I can definitely guide you through the process of connecting a UAE number to Vapi. Here's how you can connect your UAE number to Vapi: 1. **Gather Necessary Credentials**: First, you'll need to contact your UAE carrier to obtain the following credentials: - API Key and API Secret - SIP information (SIP domain, username, and password) - Carrier details 2. **Import Your Number**: Once you have these credentials, you can import your number through the Vapi platform: - Go to the import section on the Vapi dashboard - Enter your phone number along with the credentials you obtained - Complete the import process 3. **Alternative Method - SIP Trunking**: If your UAE carrier supports SIP trunking, you can connect your number this way: - Verify with your telephony provider if they support SIP trunking - Configure a SIP trunk on your PBX that points to Vapi's SIP endpoint - Input Vapi's SIP hostname and credentials into your PBX configuration 4. **Using a PBX System**: If you have a PBX system like Yeastar: - Create a new trunk in your PBX specifically for Vapi - Configure the trunk with Vapi's SIP details - Import your phone number into your Vapi account According to the [information I found](https://discord.com/channels/1211482211119796234/1211483291191083018/threads/1329764094235906121), it's important to ensure your UAE number includes the correct country code (+971) and is properly formatted before sending it to the API. Is there any specific part of this process you'd like me to elaborate on further? @nightcrawler Good luck with that. The UAE is highly regulated and getting a number from any international provider is virtually impossible. Your best bet would be to contact DU or another local provider, then connect it to Cloudonix using it's SBC infrastructure - and from there to VAPI.

I know one of the UAE providers who can help you out. But before I connect you with him, I want to know what will be your use case for the UAE CI calls.
n
@Shubham Bajaj It is to make outbound calls for leads, that already signed up on our platform
b
Hey, Nightcrawler. Sorry, I couldn't understand what you're trying to say. Can you brief it more?
n
What he's saying that he's looking to make outbound calls to sales prospects he collected and are opted-in. Based on my understanding of the UAE regulations, that is border lined with spam, and may cause issues, depending in the volumes, velocity, caller ID presentation and more.

Thanks for clarifying @Nir Simionovich (CEO@Cloudonix) Sir.

hi so I am starting an outreach for AI receptionists for UAE clients, so do I have to ask them (the prospects) to get a SIP trunk using DU and give me that SIP, and then I will put that SIP in the VAPI assistant I am building for them? did I get this right or kindly help me too @Nir Simionovich (CEO@Cloudonix)
n
@user-dead Not at all. In order to do a campaign in the UAE, you need to get a SIP Trunk from DU and then you can connect it to Cloudonix and from their to VAPI in minutes. We have customers in the UAE already doing that. Other options include installing your own SIM Gateway in Dubai, then connecting that to Cloudonix and from their to VAPI again.

mr nir, I am a complete begineer in this field thats why I am being annoying, apoligies for that. Well as much as I know the local business owners they will not trust me with their company details so I can go to du and get the sip trunking ready so the only option I see is that my prospects they will go to du and ask for sip trunking and give me the credential which I will use to get their AI assistant up and running. Right?
n
Sounds correct
u
Thanks alot sir
b
We are standing by in case you need additional support. Also thank you Nir
n
you're welcome - happy to assist where possible. Be advised that we're now able to connect SIP providers in the UAE and India, and then connect them to VAPI in a seamless manner - should the requirement arise.
b
Sounds good!
