I'm building a bot in Finnish. When testing in English, everything works perfectly. However, when I switch to Finnish, I run into issues—both with transcribing the user's input and generating accurate responses. Sometimes it works fine, but often it struggles—especially with things like numbers, years, dates, and email addresses. I've tested different voices and transcription services (OpenAI, Azure, ElevenLabs, etc.), but I consistently encounter problems. Is anyone here successfully using Finnish voices or transcribers? I've tried many options, but none seem to work reliably.

I have run some tests and if you are utilizing the API, you have more options with using a custom voice providers such as Google Wavenet and Amazon Polly, which have support for Finnish. You can also use a custom transcription provider with API as well and Google and Speechly have language support.

I have been using a finnish elevenlabs voice via API and it just works sometimes, if I adjust the prompt a lot and tell it how it ahould pronounce things specifically it can work but it is definitely not stable nor scalable, because I can’t just feed it thousands of pronunciation examples for everything in the system prompt. However, I will try the providers you told me and see if there is any improvement
