Call length maxed out at only 60 seconds!?
# support
v
Your calls are ending at 60 seconds because your Maximum Duration setting is currently set to 60 seconds. To allow for longer calls: 1. Navigate to your Call Timeout Settings 2. Locate the Maximum Duration setting 3. Adjust the slider or input field to your desired call length (up to 43200 seconds/12 hours) This setting controls the maximum allowed duration for any call before it's automatically terminated.
e
It's different all over the place....
60 seconds, 136 seconds, 1800 seconds....WTF When the max number shows 43200 seconds.
@User
I also just noticed creating a New Assistant still caps at 1800
after creating a new assistant, if you move the Maximum Duration, it then snaps to a max of 60 seconds.
This is a bug!
l
I second this. When creating new assistants I am stuck at 60 seconds maximum call length. I cannot have it go higher then that. Slience Timeout is also capped.
s
Same here.
v
I'll report this. Can you send in your account emails and org_ids?

@Sahil
s
Can you try to use API?
cc: @Shubham Bajaj
e
@Sahil @Shubham Bajaj No. Don't tell people their only option is API! The average person that uses Vapi are not API centric. Even regular users are experiencing the same thing. It's a bug! Please fix it!
Can someone PLEASE HELP with this? I have people trying to access the assistants demo!
l
@Elastic did you have any bots setup with a longer call duration length? If you duplicate it carries over max duration for the other bot.
e
@User Yes. I did have others setup. And yes, I did duplicate a few bots/assistants. However, none of them were set at 60 seconds...mostly for 4+ minutes due to the nature of the assistants.
l
I also tried to create a blank assistant and it gave me maximum duration of 1800 seconds.
e
Same here.
l
But those are the options for now. You just need to create a new one and redo the setup
s
We will have it fixed
e
No. Those were never the options. I had mines set for way longer. Up to 7 minutes at some point.
s
Asked the team to fix it.
e
@Sahil thanks
l
@Elastic I meant what you can do for now until it is fixed.
e
Emailed people to let them know, because removing or deleting the bot/assistant is not an option for me.
l
1800 seconds is 30 minutes. So a new bot and configuring it again so you can get your clients up and running. Eventually yes bug needs to be fixed.
Ah okay. Yeah then your stuck. Unless you want to try and do it via api: https://docs.vapi.ai/api-reference/assistants/update
You can use postman to send an update request to update an assistant.
e
it says 1800, but it's actually 60 seconds.
l
I can show you how to do it on a call via API if that helps.
e
Any updates on this?
s
For now, if you could send me the assistant_id, I can do it for you
e
