keypad input recognition slow

I'm trying to get the prompt to recognise when a user presses a key on their phone. It's working, however the time from when the user presses the key to the response from the assistant is approximately 4-5 seconds. What am I do wrong? Call log ID: 9655deba-b352-4d8a-ae26-a4c505522cdd I've tried changing the timeout to 1 second on the "Keypad Input Settings". Here's a brief excerpt from my call log:- { "role": "user", "time": 1746205403993, "endTime": 1746205403993, "message": "User's Keypad Entry: 1", "secondsFromStart": 4.825 } { "role": "bot", "time": 1746205409283.001, "source": "", "endTime": 1746205410323.001, "message": "You pressed 1.", "duration": 1040, "secondsFromStart": 9.820001 }

Known Issue with DTMF Solution Vapi's current DTMF solution has a known delay issue with keypad tones. According to information found in Discord discussions, the current implementation sends key presses over media streams with delayed playback time, causing the lag you're experiencing. Recommended Solution: Use Twilio Flex for IVR navigation and then transfer the call to Vapi, as Vapi cannot directly receive DTMF tones efficiently. checking if this is resolved/solved for you?

No, unfortuantely the response was about generating tones, my question is about processing the keypad presses, it's the same subject, but two different things. (Generating/Recognising).

@Shubham Bajaj I'm just back from a short vacation, I wanted to ask you if this is a known issue? Basically I want to be able to respond promptly to key presses. Is this possible? If not I will investigate a different solution. Unfortunately, my customer wants to use key presses instead of voice, for the start of the agent.
