the agent keeps cutting off. what is the issue here? it keeps echoing its own voice and thinking that the client said something. please help me fix this issue. voice is crackig and all. Check smoe of the examples: bf64bfcf-d199-4cb9-99ba-d7288c4f1a3c 2144aa17-8153-4f41-8ffb-3f62725b6034 ef7a12c2-8bad-4aaa-a77b-c0fc79737326 im not using API stuff. just direct calling to the numbers

Yep. Same here

It was 11labs issue which was fixed.
j
Sahil can you elaborate? I'm experiencing this
c
can you share the call_id?
j
019b949c-4394-7dda-9f0c-4bca2e84f425 is the call id! thanks so much
c
Not sure if I am following correctly but can you provide me the duration in the recording when you felt this issue and what should be the expected response?
j
The first three seconds of the call. Expected: Agent makes it through its greeting uninterrupted. Greeting is "Thank you for reaching out to [name]. I’m here to help you file a claim (...etcetc)" What happened: - Agent said "Thank you for reaching out to [name]. I" then stops speaking before greeting complete - False user transcription "Thank you" (if you check audio, this was never spoken) - User then says "Yeah" to get the agent to speak again I think this is because agent audio was picked up by the mic and interpreted as user speech. I may have fixed this by increasing voiceSeconds to 0.3 and decreasing backoffSeconds to 0.5, but it's hard to repro reliably. Is this the recommended fix from Vapi?
c
Can you try using firstMessagemode as assisant-speaks-with-first-message mode where you pre-define the message.
j
Appreciate the suggestion but we don't want to predefine the message
c
You don't need to do it just provide a prompt related to it, that's all.

Hey, I’m experiencing the same issue. Has anyone found a fix or recommended workaround by any chance?
