Hey, I need some help with a voice issue. I’m trying to use this specific voice: Voice ID: xBUEw934PsC3bHo8N49M. The problem is that it only works when I select Minimax as the model. However, there’s no Lithuanian language option available under Minimax, even though this voice is clearly a Lithuanian voice. If I keep the language set to Auto, the assistant doesn’t speak at all — it just stays silent. Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround? I’d really appreciate any advice on how to get this Lithuanian voice to work properly.

Hey, I can help you with that. I’ve worked with Minimax voices before, and this issue often happens when the language mapping isn’t fully supported. You can try forcing the Lithuanian language manually in the API payload instead of using “Auto.” Sometimes specifying "language": "lt-LT" helps the voice load correctly. Have you already tested it with another Lithuanian-compatible voice to confirm it’s not a model limitation? @noyz

Yeah, I actually tested it with eleven_multilingual_v2, and it technically works, but the Lithuanian speech quality is really poor — sounds robotic and unnatural. That’s why I’m trying to use this specific voice (Voice ID: xBUEw934PsC3bHo8N49M) — it was the only one that sounded really good and natural in Lithuanian. But when I try to use it, the assistant just stays silent and doesn’t speak at all.

Hi noyz, To enable the Lithuanian voice with the Minimax model, you can try setting the
languageBoost
to
auto
, which allows for automatic language detection. Unfortunately, Lithuanian isn't explicitly mentioned as an available language option in the Minimax configuration, which might be causing the assistant to not function properly when attempting to use Lithuanian. For best results, ensure the
MinimaxVoice.cachingEnabled
is set to
true
to improve performance, and consider testing with different fallback configurations if the issue persists. You can find more information about configuration options in the [Minimax documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/changelog/2025/9/11).

I understand the issue, it makes sense why you’d want to use that specific voice for natural Lithuanian. I can help troubleshoot this and explore ways to get it working properly. Since it involves some detailed settings and testing, it would be best to discuss this privately .

I will text you

You can use Azure voice for Lithuanian. Either
lt-LT-OnaNeural
or
lt-LT-LeonasNeural
for voice ids
