Inquiry on Scaling Concurrent Call Capacity in Vap...

Hi Team, I hope you’re doing well. Currently, we are able to handle 10 concurrent calls using Vapi in our application. As we plan to scale our system further, we would like to understand how to increase the concurrent call handling capacity efficiently. We would appreciate your guidance on the following: * What configurations or infrastructure changes are required to scale concurrent call handling? * Are there any platform limits or constraints we should be aware of? * Do we need to upgrade our current plan or enable additional features to support higher concurrency? * What would be the pricing or cost implications as we scale? * Are there any best practices you recommend to ensure stability and performance at higher loads? Our goal is to ensure a smooth and reliable experience while scaling, so any recommendations you can share would be very helpful. Looking forward to your response. Thank you,

Apologies for the delay! You can increase your concurrent call capacity directly from the dashboard - no need to contact support. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Reserved Concurrency and add as many slots as you need. Each additional slot is $10/month and changes apply immediately. A few things to keep in mind as you scale: • Monitor the
subscriptionLimits
object in your API responses - it shows your current limit, remaining slots, and whether any calls are being blocked • For outbound campaigns, batch your calls in chunks of 50-100 to avoid hitting limits unexpectedly • Your telephony provider (Twilio, Telnyx, etc.) may have their own rate limits separate from Vapi's concurrency Let me know if you have any other questions!
