Call for feedback! We’ve recently rolled out a new dashboard view and the product team would love to get your feedback. If you’ve been using it, can you please share: - How’s the new dashboard working so far? - What are you trying to do where the new dashboard gets in your way? - Is there anything that feels missing or harder compared to the old view? - Anything in the new view you really like or rely on? Drop your thoughts in this thread, and please DM me the email tied to your Vapi account so I can share the context with the product team.
Please leave your thoughts in the thread to keep me organized!
@John George @Chris - saw yall chatting about this recently so want to give you a heads up to share further

it's a huge improvement 🙂

Hi Amanda, thanks for starting this thread and for asking for feedback. I don’t care for the new dashboard though I understand the need to simplify and streamline it for new users — that’s fine, but my issue is that I can’t find a way to stay permanently in the old view. It reverts as soon as I click off to a new assistant and saving/publishing does not save the view setting. We need a setting to stay permanently in the old view.

imho the old view is broken and all you need to really know is it mostly lives now under the advanced section 🙂
spotted some small nits and have a suggestion on the resizeable panes but it's a solid upgrade so no complaints worth reporting 👍

Thanks @Chris, the view reverting after save/publish sounds frustrating. Quick q to help us dig in: is it the layout of the old view you prefer, or specific things in it you can't find/do in the new one? - Bets, PM at Vapi

Hi @bets (vapi) , thanks for opportunity to give some feedback. I like that the tabs act more like tabs now and I appreciate the breaking apart of areas cleanly. I’m a big fan of tabs and miss the additional ones we had. I would prefer to be able to jump right to areas such as compliance or messaging without having to go into an all-in-one advanced menu. I really like that you added logs as an assistant tab. Big plus. It would make sense if the tools tab also had a direct “open configuration” option because it feels a waste of tab space just to have a drop-down selection. In general, I don’t like seeing things that I feel like should be grouped together in separate places, but I get the desire to simplify the menu and keep the things that are most important upfront and the rest in advanced. I’m sure I’ll adjust to it. I’ve just been using Vapi so long, the inability to pin the old view as a settings toggle is missed and would be nice option to have.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback @Chris, super clear and useful 🙂 I'll make sure the team sees all of this. Can't make any promises on next steps, but feedback like this is v helpful and shapes where we go next - thanks for building with Vapi
