Knowledge Base - Files Bug? Help Please.

I can't use any files and keep getting error applying any file even on newly created Assistants I think I may have encountered a Knowledge Base ingestion or assistant serialization bug. Call ID: a1200822-a0b9-4111-92f3-97ebf0ac5290 My setup was working properly earlier today. I successfully connected Twilio numbers, published assistants, and had voice calls functioning normally. The assistants work and publish correctly as long as NO knowledge base files are enabled. The issue only begins once files are attached and checked/activated to the assistant. Error message: knowledgeBase.property model should not exist I spent a large amount of time debugging this and isolated the issue pretty carefully. What I tested: Created completely fresh assistants from scratch Deleted old assistants Removed all KB files Re-uploaded simplified TXT files Reduced file sizes significantly Removed markdown, symbols, special formatting, and complex structures Tested extremely small files Tested with and without Twilio numbers attached Tested with and without voice attached Tested with only tiny prompts Results: Blank assistants publish correctly Voice works Twilio works Phone numbers work Calls work Publishing works But the moment KB files are enabled, the assistant begins throwing: knowledgeBase.property model should not exist It was working fine previously with KB files earlier in development The issue persists even after creating new assistants and heavily simplifying the uploaded files and after deleting all of the files and using fresh ones. Would appreciate any guidance because I have narrowed it down pretty confidently to the Knowledge Base / files https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1507974346851880960/1507974346990157945/A115121E-3EE1-49F9-A3A4-2BC607765051.png?ex=6a13da0d&is=6a12888d&hm=8f339a8293a13109c253eb46a4a02ee95bf4e45783b3dd396b09e324f05b3c63&

You actually did a solid job narrowing this down. From everything you tested, it really looks like a backend KB ingestion or validation issue rather than anything wrong with your Twilio, voice, or assistant setup. The fact that clean assistants work until files are enabled is a pretty strong indicator. I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot it further, are you creating/updating the assistants purely from the dashboard, or is there any API call involved when attaching the knowledge base files? @Shabba

Hi, As checked we are getting this error in Daily channel. Please change your org channel to Weekly from the Org Settings page in the dashboard and try again. Thank you. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1507974346851880960/1508131043428012102/image.png?ex=6a146bfc&is=6a131a7c&hm=fc94c24eee48f2d7277f69828d8197feab88f7f7de975d70b077ef07343c337c&

Reporting the same problem here too. Why are we getting a validation error -- for the knowledge base object in the agent config has a model property that VAPI's current API schema no longer seems to allow?
