AI stays silent

In some calls when you interrupt the ai while talking it suddenly stops talking at all and stays silent. Even if you say something it does not recover from it. I tried it even with realtime api 4o cluster. How can this be solved?

@TimK I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the AI becoming unresponsive after being interrupted. This behavior is certainly not expected. To address this, we can try adjusting the
number
parameter, which controls the sensitivity of the AI to interruptions. By setting it to a higher value, the AI might become less prone to completely stopping after an interruption. If you're still encountering problems after adjusting this parameter, it could be a more technical issue that might require a deeper look into the system's behavior. In that case, please reach out to support for more detailed assistance. Would you like to try adjusting the interruption sensitivity now, or is there anything else I can assist you with?

Hi everyone, My VAPI AI for booking appointments isn't working properly. The tools for checking and booking schedules are functioning, but the AI only sends me the tool's response when I specifically say something. It doesn’t provide the response automatically. It seems to wait for my input to trigger the process. Could you please help me address this issue? \

It still happens

@TimK I'm here to help! It sounds like there might be an issue with the event handling or the trigger setup within your VAPI AI system. The AI should ideally provide responses automatically when certain conditions are met, without waiting for additional input from you. To resolve this, we may need to review the configuration of your AI's event triggers or the logic that handles the tool responses. It's possible that the AI is not correctly detecting when to initiate the response process. If you have access to the configuration settings or the code that manages these triggers, please ensure that the events are set up to automatically process and respond when the tools for checking and booking schedules complete their tasks. If you're not sure how to do this or if the problem persists, please reach out to support for more detailed guidance on how to configure your AI's event handling properly. Would you like to proceed with checking the event triggers and response logic, or is there another way I can assist you?

Hey @TimK To help track down this issue, could you share: - The call ID - When exactly this happened (the timestamp) - What response you expected to get - What response you actually got instead This would really help me figure out what went wrong!
