Unexplained rise of cost

Hey, I have 2 issues : 1. I use the GPT 4o cluster model for my assistant (which is 0,08$ per minutes). But on the assistant dashboard, the average cost is ~$0.16 /min, why ? 2.Since weeks I had 1000 minutes of free call, but overnight, I went down to 5.17 credits left in "Vapi Ad-hoc Infra". Why is that ?

The average cost per minute can be higher than the base rate because Vapi charges $0.05/min, but additional provider costs (like GPT-4o, speech-to-text, etc.) are passed through and can increase your total per-minute cost. This could explain why you see ~$0.16/min on your dashboard, even if the model rate is $0.08/min. Actionable step: Check your [Vapi billing page](https://dashboard.vapi.ai/org/billing) for a detailed breakdown of charges and provider costs to identify where the extra cost is coming from. If you need more details about the sudden change in free minutes or credits, contacting Vapi support may clarify recent changes to the free tier or credit system. 1. Your dashboard’s cost is higher than the base $0.08/min because actual charges include token usage, call length, and extra services like STT/TTS 2. Your free credits dropped sharply because the initial testing credits were mostly used up overnight.
